Investing in Our Community and Beyond
Refugee Hope Partners
Refugee Hope Partners (RHP) is one of Redeemer's mission partners. This local organization exists to love our refugee neighbors with the hope of the gospel in partnership with the local church.
1. Pray With Them
Pray for the most vulnerable in our community - the elderly, those with significant ongoing medical issues, newborn babies, and expecting mothers. Pray for healing as many of our refugee friends are reliving past trauma through this current crisis. Pray for economic stability for our population. Pray for students who may potentially be out of school for an extended period of time and the resulting educational, physical, and emotional ramifications. Pray for our staff will be bold in sharing the gospel during this time.
2. Sponsor a Family
We are seeking to match churches and small groups with specific families to provide weekly supplemental food boxes. Having food needs met will allow RHP to shift into supporting families with other pressing issues. Besides increasing numbers of adults losing jobs, we are bracing for those in our community to become infected with COVID-19. We trust God as we walk forward in faith to love our refugee neighbors. We are committed to being “boots on the ground” in Jesus’ name.
At Redeemer, we are encouraging community groups to consider adopting a family. If you would like to talk with someone, please contact the office.
3. Donate Financially to RHP
If you do not live locally or you are unable to donate supplies and food at this time but feel led to partner with RHP, please consider financially giving toward their general fund. These donations will go towards our efforts in loving our local refugee community well during this time.
